Admitted pedophile run out of town.
There have been some interesting developments in a disturbing story that made headlines several months ago.
Jack McClellan,45, had been running the website "Seattle-Tacoma-Everett Girl Love", a sort of how-to site for pedophiles. McClellan, an admitted pedophile, frequents various public locations and events, such as parks, dance recitals, festivals, etc, taking pictures of unsuspecting little girls(LG, as he calls them), and then publishes the pictures on his website. He informs his readers of excellent locations to see little girls and gives advice as to how not to get caught by police. McClellan, never convicted of a sexual crime, says his goal is to promote friendship and legal, consensual hugging and cuddling between men and pre-pubescent girls.
Under pressure from Mothers Against Sexual Predators in Seattle, McClellan moved from Washington to California. His Seattle website was finally shut down, but has recently resurfaced under a different name, "Los Angelese Girl Love".
One mother found pictures of her 8 year old daughter, on his website, allegedly taken at her school. The mother is now working with Senator Val Stevens to make this type of activity, illegal.
Senator Stevens announced she will introduce a bill in the 2008 legislative session that would make it a crime to post personal information of minors on web sites if the information poses an imminent and serious threat to the minor’s safety. Her bill would also allow parents or guardians of minors whose information has been posted online, to obtain a temporary restraining order and a permanent injunction to prevent a person from posting the information on the Internet.

I would add my voice to the Senator and mother's push. To publish a photo of a child in a club newsletter there must be written permission from the legal guardian. I think the ethic would be well placed on internet sites as well.
As always, great info Jace. Many thanks.
