comScore, a leader in measuring the digital world, announced that the popular social networking site, Facebook, has seen an 89% growth from last year, growing from 14 million to over 26 million unique visitors.
The results of a study by comScore, showed Facebook's decision to open up registration to the general public in September 2006, which previously only allowed college students with a valid college email university or a selected group of others, was a good decision.
The most dramatic growth occurred among 25-34 year olds, growing up 181%, while 12-17 year olds grew 149 % and perhaps surprisingly, those age 35 and older grew 98 %.
