Letters to Parents from MySpace..
(I am unable to discuss, critique or write about this beta software-due to "confidentiality" clause in the user agreement.)
As reported earlier on this website, Zephyr is a software program that MySpace developed to assist parents in aiding concerned parents who have children who use MySpace. A letter from MySpace reads as follows:
Dear Parent:
ParentCare-beta (formerly known as Zephyr) is a software program that helps parents determine if their teen has a MySpace profile and what basic information (name, age and hometown) is listed on this profile. We cannot stress enough how important your feedback is. It will greatly help us determine how ready the software is for public use, and will also ensure that it works easily and properly.
If you’re interested in trying it out, please click here :

You'll find instructions on installing ParentCare beta, providing feedback, and uninstalling. Please send all comments by Tuesday, July 31, 2007.
Thank you very much for your participation.
Sincerely,

I had a MySpace account for less than a week. I could not believe some of the dealings going on there, and, you have no idea of whom you are dealing with, as is true anywhere on the 'Net. However, in that particular community there are enough happenings for any parent to consider and worry about... Just my opinion, and, I am a very open minded and liberal soul... Just didn't care for the flow of what I saw there...
Hi Lyn!!!!
Thanks for your insight and opinions. It's easy to see how it can be scary for kids(and the parents), isnt it??
