International Blogathon Brings Awareness to Children February 12th, 2008.
The world is invited to participate in the weeklong educational international blogathon, Safer Internet Day.
InSafe, a European Internet Safety network, brings much needed awareness to Internet safety issues to many nations and is organizing Safer Internet Day. Over 40 countries are participating this year. The theme this year is “Life online is what you make of it”.
Schools, libraries, communities and individuals around the world are encouraged to participate.
Safer Internet Day includes educational resources and a yearly competition for children within the countries of the Insafe network.
