The FBI has announced due to a global law enforcement sting in 5 countries, 22 men have been arrested.

12 American men, ranging in ages from 33 to 63 years of age, were indicted by a Federal Grand Jury.

Over 400,000 images and videos depicting prepubescent children and toddlers engaged in various sexual and sadistic acts were being shared in online file sharing networks.

The FBI, BKA Child Pornography Unit in Germany, Queensland Police, The Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre in the UK, and the Toronto Police Department in Canada were involved in the investigation.

The international operation has rescued 20 victims.  The investigation began in 2006, and shut down one of the "most sophisticated child-exploitation rings ever".

The investigation is ongoing and continues.
