From the kids, thats why we are here.
Painting....
Winding up the school year, a little kindergartner raised his hand yesterday, saying that he needed to go to the nurse. I asked him what was wrong, and he said his mouth was painting. I said, "what, your mouth is painting?". He said noo, his toof hurt him, and it was paining him.
Oh, of course!
Ice, Ice baby...
Today, a little boy in kindergarten, was rubbing and holding his head. I asked him what was wrong and he said his head hurt and wanted an ice pack. I asked him if he had a headache, and he said no, that in recess, they were playing soccer, and another little boy ran into him and landed on his brain!
Ouch!!
My Special Friend.....
The kids were WOUND today!!
The children always sit on the floor for my directions, before they get onto the computers. Today, one little boy was putting his arm up in the air, pretending like he was hugging someone. I asked him, "Billy, what are you doing?". He said, matter-of-factly, why, he was hugging his imaginary friend, of course. I said, "Oh, and what is his name". "Larry, Larry my special friend"...
He stated this so non-chalantly, like of COURSE I should know this stuff!!! Then, of course, the other childrens' imaginary friends came "out". So technically, instead of having 20 children in that class, I guess I had 40!!
Where was mine, when I needed her??

Second place--You use it, bit do inform your children.
A few said no you dont monitor and one person said that it is a violation of their privacy.
Thanks everyone!!
Out of the mouths of babes!
Soo, today the little ones were playing a computer game to help with their ability(or lack thereof) to use a mouse properly. The kindergartners were having trouble using the right mouse button, which is actually the wrong button, since they should be using the left mouse button, not the right one, which is the wrong one-follow????
Clicking on the wrong mouse button, can bring up an unwanted box, as many of the children found out. One little boy told me, "Mrs G--i keep talking to my finger and it just wont listen to me!!" So I had a little chat with his offending finger, and moments later, wrong mouse click again.
This time, it wasn't his finger that wasn't listening---this time it was "keyboard" making him use the wrong mouse button!
Alrighty then!
Great safe sight for kidz!
Hi.
As I need to come up with new programs every single week for 2 different age groups, finding new software is sometimes a daunting task!
Here is a great online game for kids. I make it more entertaining, by instructing all my k/1st graders, they must use their own "brain power" to figure out where all the various games are, and must also figure out on their own, how each one works.
They LOVE this!! (alphabet is in English and French!! Tres bien!!)
